Desire refers to aspiration which may or
may not be linked to the means to purchase it. Eg A beggar may desire food but
due to lack of means to purchase it his demand is not effective.The concept “demand” refers to the quantity
of a good or service that consumers are willing and able to purchase at various
prices during a period of time. Thus effective demand depends upon

I am agree with Mr. cpt, But two points sholud also be added that are 1. Relation beetween thing and time. 2. . Relation beetween thing and price.

Hi, A beggar's desire to purchase a CAR is not his demand because he has no sufficient purchasing power... So desire is the not same as demand ..
