partnership in law

1.can a retired partner take active part if he know that the firm is going to dissolved because of some debts???can he rectify?? 2.if in a partnership firm there is a sleeping partner and the third believes him as active partner and then sigh a contract with other partner then the contract is?????and who is responsible?????
