10 steps to start your Preparation
1. Make a plan of the time
available&the syllabus to be covered. You need to make a schedule with
weekly/daily breakups which is practical & achievable.
2. Monitor the schedule on weekly
basis & reinforce your efforts to make up for the backlog, if any
3. Ensure two revisions before
appearing for the examination which amounts to a total of three readings.
4. In the case of theory subjects, focus on understanding the concepts
thoroughly and its application. In subjects such as law, give due regard to
case laws and sections. In subjects such as Economics, spend some effort on
statistics and general reading of business newspapers and newsmagazines.
5. In the case of numerical subjects, such as accountancy and mathematics,
focus on understanding the concepts and learning the formulae. Solve as many
problems as you can. Prepare for these subjects from the beginning of the year/
session and on a continuous basis. The rule of two revisions (plus the first)
is particularly applicable to these subjects.
6. Practice as many Multiple Choice Questions as available from good source.
7. Practice the test on line so that
you can become comfortable with the environment.
8. Analysis of the test is ‘must’ to
enhance the performance, try to find the weak point and work on it
9. Monitor your performance with the
other aspirant so that to know your level of preparation.
10. Prepare for the worst in the examination to minimize probability of failing
in the examination.
